Just a heads up that On 3 Public Relations has posted its comprehensive campaign finance report for the second quarter, and is now available at www.On3PR.com. This covers everything raised and spent through June 30, 2009.
As of July 2009, a full year before candidates must qualify with the Florida Division of Elections, we see unprecedented numbers of open seats in the nation’s fourth largest state.
An open U.S. Senate seat, the Governor’s office, and all three cabinet seats are up for grabs, including more than half of Florida’s State Senate seats and all 120 seats in the House.
With 16 months before the November elections, fundraising has already been fast and furious at the state and federal levels – and legislative races are proving to be just as financially aggressive.
This cycle we will see some familiar names on the ballot, as over a dozen former House and Senate members are running to win a seat back in the Florida Legislature.
